What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Owning your own business is both liberating and extremely terrifying. I didn’t expect my company to grow so quickly, and quite frankly, wasn’t prepared for many of the challenges I faced within those first couple of years. I found that other entrepreneurs were a great resource for me since they had already gone through many of the issues that I was encountering. There is no shame in asking for advice from successful people as they are a wealth of knowledge. I also think that it’s very important to develop an understanding of markets. There’s nothing fun about investing capital into the project of your dreams only to see it destroyed by economic instability. A great place to start is the book“Economics in One Lesson” by Henry Hazlitt as it is an engaging, easy read.  I think that it’s empowering to become familiar with how various economic systems work.
Who are your some of your most notable style icons?
I find Vivienne Westwood’s creative journey absolutely fascinating. She has effortlessly covered so many styles over the years, always being an innovator with no shortage of flair and wit. I fell in love with Alexander McQueen while in school, not only for his flawless designs, but also his rebellious nature. McQueen walked the fine line between art and controversy with impeccable grace. In the arena of costuming, I have massive respect for Catherine D’lish. Catherine has a wonderful eye for design as well as incredible craftsmanship.
What future projects or collaborations can we look forward to in 2013?

I just finished putting together some looks for this year’s Gothic Cruise fashion show which is always a delightful collaboration. I have some exclusive pieces coming out in the winter inspired by one of my all time favorite horror writers that I can’t wait to show off! I’m also planning events with several local retro enthusiasts combining our shared love of fashion and kitsch to put on the kind of party that can only happen in Sin City.

I would like to take a moment to thank Rebecca for taking the time to answer my questions and lend us some insight into her inspirational designs. Be sure to keep up with her latest fashion releases and news by following her on her official website, Etsy Shop and Facebook page!
