I have always had a strong admiration for the romantic, wavy hairstyles of eras past. There is a kind of old time charm that is missing in today’s fashion, so I thought I would share a vintage inspired hairstyle that I love to wear, especially on a more formal night out. I also paired the hairstyle with a vintage military frock style jacket and a ruffled top, to further compliment the antiquated look. I feel like this could be worn to a prom for a more classic look, or even a wedding. It can easily be dressed down or accented by different jeweled berets or flowers.

I know you said in this video to comment your blog for a request. Could you do a makeup/hair video on the Elizabethan period? This is one of my favorite time periods. Kate Winslet’s makeup from the movie Titanic is a good example, but I can’t quite figure her look and her hair out in that movie. Also, she sports lovely red hair like you do.
Thanks. x

I’d love to see a tutorial for Gillian Anderson’s hair in Bleak House: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9G4ItH2T-w (The whole series is on YouTube if you decide to try it and need more references.)

Hello, first of all you’re so incredibly beautiful with that porcelain skin and shimmering copper hair. I love romantic waves and this look is stunning and was easy to achieve. In addition I adore your ruffled top and vintage military jacket, if you don’t mind where did you buy them from or where can I shop for similar styles. I love vintage clothing and makeup. I love all your videos and can’t wait to try other looks thanks to you. Keep up the good work, such a pretty classy young lady.

I really like how relatively easy this is to do, but it looks like it took forever , it’s so simple but beautiful too..I’m celebrating my birthday with best girlies tomorrow and I’m going to try this out, Thank you for doing this, I believe there are a certain few who know they were born in the wrong era, and I’m one of them!
